CPD Rise has its own independent Privacy Policy due to the different nature of products and services offered and the way the two sites are operated and maintained. All references to CPD Rise employees, Course Instructors, and Contractor Instructors are managed by AAMC.

All references to Enterprise Group Leaders (“Group Leaders”) and Course or Group Instructors (“Instructors”) on the CPD Rise site can consist of, Enterprise Groups, Individual Instructor Partnerships, Companies, Businesses or third-party course instructors which are all referred to within our the Enterprise Agreement and Terms of Use and therefore must adhere to the same Privacy Policy herein.

(a) This Privacy Policy regulates the way in which CPD Rise collects, shares and discloses the information provided by its users (each, a “User”) on the website (“Site”) This applies to the products and services offered, complaint handling, security and access to information held by CPD Rise. We respect your right to privacy, and we are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our users.

(b) “Personal information” is the information we hold which is identifiable as being about you.

(c)CPD Rise adheres to the Australian Privacy Principles contained in The Privacy Act 1988 (“Privacy Act”).

(d) CPD Rise receives and stores the personal information you enter onto our website, provided to us directly, or given to us in other forms such as through employers and/or industry groups and associations.

(e) The primary purpose of collecting your information is when you purchase a product or service from CPD Rise (“us, we”) or during a registration process as a user on the site, either as an individual or group member. You will be given an opportunity during these processes to read our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions and asked to agree to the policies by ticking a box to indicate that you have read and understood the policy. Once you have ticked the box it is assumed that you have read the policy and agree to it.

What information do we collect?

(a) You may provide basic information such as your name, phone number, address, and email address to enable us to send information, provide updates and process your product or service order. We may collect additional information at other times, including but not limited to; when you provide feedback, when you fill in a form, when you provide information about your personal or business affairs, change your content or email preference, agree to subscribe to news and updates, respond to surveys and/or promotions, provide financial or credit card information, or communicate with our customer support.

(b) Additionally, we may also collect any other information you provide while interacting with us via email, forms or interactive chat or bot.

(a) CPD Rise collects personal information from you in a variety of ways, including when you interact with us electronically or in person. Third parties may be employers, business partners, associations, membership groups, aggregators, internal staff from AAMC and its instructors and trainers or other training organisations.

(a) CPD Rise may use personal information collected from you to provide you with information including but not limited to.

  • news, updates, and specials
  • website maintenance requirements or web downtime
  • progress updates and upcoming course expiry reminders
  • Continued Professional Development (‘CPD”) updates and statements.
  • New and additional products, services, and opportunities are available to you.

(b) CPD Rise may contact you by a variety of measures including, but not limited to telephone, email, SMS, apps, live chat, marketing automation or mail.

(c) We may use your information to improve our products and services and better understand your needs.

(d) We may request to share your experiences and reviews on the site in our testimonials to be used on the site or within marketing materials. We will always seek permission in writing by email should we wish to use your information for these purposes.

(a) We may, may from time to time need to disclose personal information to comply with a legal requirement, such as a law, regulation, court order, subpoena, or warrant, in the course of a legal proceeding or in response to a law enforcement agency request.

(b) We may also use your personal information to protect the copyright, trademarks, legal rights, property, or safety of CPD Rise, its customers or third parties.

(d) If there is a change of control in our business or a sale or transfer of business assets, we reserve the right to transfer to the extent permissible by law our user databases, together with any personal information and non-personal information contained in those databases. This information may be disclosed to a potential purchaser under an agreement to maintain confidentiality. We would seek to only disclose information in good faith and where required by any of the above circumstances.

(e) By providing us with personal information, you consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy and the types of disclosure covered by this Policy. When we disclose your personal information to third parties, we will request that the third party follow this Policy regarding handling your personal information.

Corporate Accounts and Instructors

(a) All Corporate Accounts, Groups Leaders & Instructors, their employees, and affiliates, must agree to abide by the Privacy Policy as set out in our terms agreement.

(b) CPD Rise shares information with the above groups and leaders for the purpose of group-facilitated training and instructor-managed courses within the site. When you register into a Corporate Account Group, you are agreeing to the group, providing management for the purposes of their compliance. Your corporate account will provide information with you, on how to access your courses and group information and may be partially managed by the Corporate Account, Group Leaders or Instructors. 

(c) Group Leaders or Instructors within the Group may access your progress reports for their compliance purposes. Corporate Accounts, Groups and Group Leaders may receive and store the personal information you enter onto our website, provided to us directly, or given to us in other forms such as through employers and/or industry groups and associations.

Storage and Security of your personal information

(a) CPD Rise is committed to ensuring that the information you provide to us is secure. To prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure information and protect it from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification, and disclosure.

(b) We use a Secured Socket Layer (“SSL”) on our website to protect any browser usage.

(c) The CPD Rise site uses and is protected by the Wordfence premium security plugin. The site is backed up daily to the server which is hosted on a secure azure server.

(d) The transmission and exchange of information is carried out at your own risk. We cannot guarantee the security of any information that you transmit to us or receive from us. Although we take measures to safeguard against unauthorised disclosures of information, we cannot assure you that the personal information that we collect will not be disclosed in a manner that is inconsistent with this Privacy Policy.

Access to your personal information

(a) You may request details of personal information that we hold about you in accordance with the provisions of The Privacy Act 1988 (“Privacy Act”). A small administrative fee may be payable for the provision of information. We may modify this Policy at any time, in our sole discretion and all modifications will be effective immediately upon our posting of the modifications on our website or notice board.
