Financial Risk Management
Course Details
Description
Financial risk management is the art of understanding and balancing the different types of financial risks and determining how to address them.
Limiting your losses can reduce risk tolerance when practicing this skill. For example, you buy car insurance to reduce your liability and loss in case of an accident. Insurance companies sell plans with high premiums and deductibles to safeguard themselves if something happens and they must pay for a claim. The goal here isn’t just to protect ourselves but also to make sure others aren’t negatively impacted.
This course aims to help finance professionals understand how risk management strategies can be applied to financial services providers to help them identify, analyse and manage potential or existing financial risks.
