The FBAA Education Institute brings together hundreds of educational courses, webinars, videos and resources in one platform.
The Institute will assist brokers and broker businesses to develop skills across a range of vital areas including business-building, compliance, technology, personal development and mental health support.
The Education Institute, in partnership with CPD Rise powered by AAMC Training Group, offers courses related specifically to the broking industry as well as more general courses related to business operations, including HR, time management and project planning.
While some courses are free to FBAA members, additional courses can be accessed at discounted rates. Many of the courses are eligible for CPD hours.,

FBAA Compliance Fundamentals Training | Full Course
If you have joined or electing to join as a new member of the Finance Brokers Association of Australia (FBAA), this course package is for you! Included in this package: FBAA Code of Conduct, Australian Privacy Act, FBAA Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing, Credit Fraud Awareness, Banking Code of Practice-Financial Abuse Awareness.
These courses are the key educational requirements that you need to learn to complete your FBAA Membership application.
FBAA Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing | Refresher Module
This course is a refresher module for the FBAA Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Course.
This program has a requirement to be completed every two years as part of FBAA's existing membership requirements to maintain membership.
Banking Code of Practice | Financial Abuse Awareness Education
Banking Code of Practice | Financial Abuse Awareness Education provides detailed information about the Banking Code, the key provisions that relate to mortgage brokers and guidance to help you better identify potential financial abuse.
Best Interests Duty
The Best Interests Duty (BID) legislation was implemented by ASIC in January 2021. The objective of the BID is to ensure that when brokers assist consumers to apply for a mortgage, the consumers get good information and end up in the right product.
FBAA Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Finance | Full Course
Get an overview of anti-money laundering and counter terrorism financing. The “Anti-Money Laundering” section describes the legal obligations of financial institutions and other regulated entities to prevent or report money laundering activities. The Counter-Terrorism Financing section describes the legal obligations of financial institutions, other regulated entities and residents of Australia to prevent, report and interdict the financing of terrorists, terrorist organisations and terrorism events.

If you do not have a Certificate IV in this qualification, this Full Diploma qualification is the one for you. If you have completed a Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking, you will need to enrol into the FNS50322 Diploma Upgrade.
Upgrade Cert IV FNS40804-15
This is a Diploma Upgrade course which means you must already hold a Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking (specifically FNS40804, FNS40810, FNS40811 or FNS40815) to qualify. Please check your certificate for the year of completion.
Upgrade Cert IV FNS40820-21
This is a Diploma Upgrade course which means you must already hold a Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking (specifically the FNS40820 or FNS40821) to qualify. Please check your certificate for the year of completion.

Recognition of Prior Learning may exempt you from completing the normal study process. Instead, we evaluate your prior experience, training, knowledge, skills, and competency against the requirements of this qualification.
